The board of directors recently completed its 3-year strategic plan. The plan calls for a more concerted focus on workforce issues, leading discussions about the future of our industry and building up our capacity at ARRM in the area of research, data analysis and linking it to our legislative and policy work.
As a result of this new plan and the various high level work contained within it I have restructured our existing staffing model. Sara Grafstrom’s role has been expanded and she is now our Director of State and Federal Policy, Drew Henry’s position has also changed and he is now the Director of Strategic Communications. I’ll be leading much of the strategic partnerships and connections to DHS and other regulatory bodies. We continue to have our contract lobbying, Phil Griffin, on board to assist with advancing our legislative priorities. I am also recruiting for a Director of Research, Data Analysis and Policy to join the ARRM leadership team.
Sara, Drew and I and the new Director of Research/Data Analysis and Policy will advance the ARRM work plan along with Casey Daubert, our coordinator of Member Services and Ashley Wear, our Manager of Events and Promotions. Joining us will be a Field Organizer to help with our grassroots outreach and some administrative tasks.
I am so excited to have this team in place and to look toward the future and building a stronger ARRM to work on behalf of our members.

As you know, we compile the questions that we get each week and address them on the ARRM Answers calls each Friday. We do this in part to share the learnings with all ARRM members. In line with that, we will be launching a new service for our members. We’re calling it ARRM Peer-to-Peer. This new service will help members connect with one another on issues that you may face from time to time where you could really benefit from talking with another provider. Look soon for a dedicated spot on the Members Only portion of our website.
