Adjustments to the Disability Waiver Rate System will take effect on January 1, 2018. These adjustments are the result of legislatively mandated updates in several areas, including:
- Regional variance factors
- Wages for Housing Access Coordination services
- Program Plan Support values for unit-based services
- Client Programming and Support values for unit-based services
- Program-related expense values for Night Supervision, Personal Support, Companion, and Respite Services
When Providers Will See Impact
While the new framework values take effect on January 1, 2018, they will only become effective upon renewal of the Service Agreement in 2018. These adjustments also do not impact individuals who will be on a banded rate in 2018; they will only be reflected for those individuals with rates set by DWRS.
