Disability Services Day at the Capitol, Hosted by ARRM and MOHR is fast approaching and you should participate! On March 12th, at 10:00 AM, there will be a rally in the Capitol Rotunda in support of community-based disability services. This is a celebration of all your achievements over the past year. It is a way to recognize the importance of the crucial services that you provide.
But the Day at the Capitol is also a time to engage in change. After the rally, stay to meet with your legislators. When you come to Disability Services Day at the Capitol, be ready with your story and your personal message about the importance and value of investing in the direct care workforce. Come with messages that urge your legislators to address pertinent issues such as the 7% cut to disability waiver rates.
So if you want to engage in change, you are strongly encouraged to attend Disability Services Day at the Capitol. Come for yourself, come for the people you work with, and come for the people you support.

Button Contest
Get excited because once again, ARRM is hosting the self-advocate button contest! Not only can you engage in change by attending the event, you can also submit some of your artwork! This year’s designs should focus on the accomplishments people have achieved with the support of their staff. Your accomplishments should be showcased and what better way to do that than to wear your artwork?
For information on how to participate, check out ARRM’s website and look at the ARRM Day at the Capitol page.
Now, who is ready to engage in change?
