Don't forget to mark your calendars for next Tuesday, July 26th to celebrate the 26th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
This year's theme is "Celebrating Diversity in our Community", the event is scheduled from 3 to 8:30 pm a the Minnesota History Center.
Details for the event include:
From 3:00-5:00 pm
- Keynote address from Ken Rodgers, chair of the Minneapolis Advisory Committee on People with Disabilities
- Panel discussion on the joys and challenges of living with a disability in a culturally diverse community
From 6:30-7:00 pm
- Dance lessons and performance from Angelique Lele, Ms. Wheelchair Minnesota 2015, and Young Dance
From 7:00-8:30 pm
- Music and dancing with classic rock band Tamarak
