ARRM is excited to partner once again with the Hennepin County Library, Homeward Bound and Star Services for the 10th Annual ART-Abilities event. ART-Abilities celebrates the talent of artists with disabilities in our community, and is sponsored by the Friends of the Ridgedale Library.
This year’s opening will take place on Saturday, October 25th. The event will begin at 11:15 in the Robert H. Rohlf Room with live music, a book reading and a celebration of the artists that help make ART-Abilities possible. The gallery opening will take place from noon-1:00 on the second floor of the Ridgedale Library. The gallery will be on display October 25th through November 23rd.
To help mark the 10th Anniversary of ART-Abilities, Governor Dayton has issued an official proclamation, proclaiming the week of October 25th through October 31st Art Abilities Week. In the proclamation Governor Dayton states: “Individuals with disabilities have a right to express themselves in an artistic way, sharing their thoughts, dreams, goals and views of the world with the community.” Read the full proclamation here.
The opening is open to the public; please join us on Saturday, October 25th to celebrate these artists and their work.
