SAINT PAUL, MN - The Association of Residential Resources in Minnesota (ARRM) will honor six outstanding professional caregivers during its ARRM Cares Awards Ceremony at noon on Thursday, May 13, 2010 at the Crowne Plaza Riverfront Hotel in downtown Saint Paul. The 2010 ARRM Cares Award will be emceed by Rena Sarigianopoulos, KARE 11 reporter and co-anchor of KARE 11's weekend broadcast.
The 2010 winners are:

Madalyn Rowell, Dakota Communities, Inc. (Eagan, MN)
Dianne Sanden, CCRI, Inc. (Moorhead, MN)
The ARRM Cares Award program was started in 1990 to recognize professional caregivers who provide services to people with disabilities. Recipients of this award have demonstrated that they are committed to providing innovative, professional services to person with intellectual, developmental, and physical disabilities.
Each year, six outstanding Minnesotans are selected from over 150 nominees as the winners of the ARRM Cares Award.
“Now, more than ever, we appreciate the important work professional caregivers do," said ARRM CEO, Bruce Nelson. “They are being asked to do more with less and less, and their number one priority is to ensure that the people they support live meaningful lives.”

ARRM is a statewide association of community-based providers that support people with developmental disabilities, brain injuries and mental illness.
