SOUTH SAINT PAUL, Minn. – The Association of Residential Resources in Minnesota (ARRM) promoted Sara Grafstrom to director of advocacy and community relations. In addition to her role coordinating member recruitment and retention activities, Grafstrom will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of ARRM’s grassroots advocacy efforts. She replaces ARRM’s communications director, Barb Brynstad, who will be focused on marketing ARRM’s reform initiatives.
In her position as ARRM's field coordinator, Grafstrom was responsible for planning and executing the association's highly successful Day at the Capitol event, which attracted over 1,000 participants. She also helped expand ARRM’s grassroots advocacy mentor program, and played an instrumental role in developing its statewide grassroots training plan.
Grafstrom has been employed by ARRM for two years. Prior to joining ARRM, she was a legislative assistant for Rep. Phil Sterner. She holds a bachelor’s degree in political science and English from St. Cloud State University.
About ARRM: ARRM is a non-profit association that was founded in 1970 by a group of private providers and advocates dedicated to leading the advancement of community-based services that support people with disabilities in their pursuit of safe and meaningful lives.
