Disability providers step up their grassroots advocacy, local media efforts

Throughout the 2011 Legislative Session, ARRM members invited several dozen legislators to their program sites to help lawmakers understand the value of the services they provide. Many of these site visits were picked up by the local media, which helps educate the public about corporate foster care providers in their communities. Three articles are posted below:

  • Minn Local published piece on Hammer site visit with Rep. Loon in Eden Prairie
  • Minn Local published piece on Hammer site visit with Rep. Carlson in Crystal
  • The Minnesota Sun reported on Homeward Bound's advocacy efforts, and concerns about budget cuts
